Forsythia Design is pretty much in the same stage of development as the actual forsythia shrub in my yard: promising colour but no real flowers to enjoy quite yet. The drawings I inked up in February are now printed fabric samples somewhere in shipping limbo. I’m very excited to see them and get product listed in the Etsy shop, so hopefully Canada Post will be extra swift.
In the meantime, we can all dream in colour with the lush new Colour Stories line of hues from Benjamin Moore. They use five to seven pigments instead of the usual three, mixed in a water-based suspension without volatile organic compounds and delivered in the low-VOC Aura paint. Of course the greens are speaking to me, given all the tiny leaf buds that are threatening to uncurl any day. Here are two pictures from the green colour story.
